| ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT |
Mission:
To allow the population to discover the cultural diversity of the metropolis
through different activities, including sports, dance, music and culinary
displays.
Main objectives:

Make the Week-ends du monde a big family and community celebration of today’s
Montréal with all its components;

Lead Montrealers of all origins to discover and appreciate the talent and
socio-cultural treasures residing in the metropolis and to get closer to them;

Showcase the cultural projects and shows that abound in present-day Montréal
and provide an opportunity to perform in public;

Make Parc Jean-Drapeau a symbolic location for fraternity and interchange among
all Montrealers, contribute to its economic revitalization and strengthen its
position as the ideal location for large-scale events;

Offer Montrealers and visitors to Montréal enjoyable, affordable and
high-quality socio-cultural activities;

Develop a sense of initiative, entrepreneurial spirit and managerial skills
among the promoters of socio-cultural events;
-
Be a place where people and cultures can integrate, where people can forge
closer ties with others, where new arrivals can integrate into the host
community and where the host community discovers new arrivals.
Management:
This event is presented by Loto-Québec and produced by the Société du parc
Jean-Drapeau in partnership with the Ville de Montréal. In addition to
producing the Week-ends du monde, the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau manages
Parc Jean-Drapeau and produces the Fête
des Neiges de Montréal and the Fête des enfants de Montréal.
