The first Festival Interculturel de Montréal takes place on the
Parterre on Île Notre-Dame at Parc Jean-Drapeau, thanks to an initiative of
the Ville de Montréal.

This event is an occasion for groups from ethno-cultural communities to
perform in a public space, bringing freshness to recurring summer events and
ensuring their continuity.
2006: 55 000 visitors

The Festival Interculturel de Montréal is renamed "Week-ends du
monde au parc Jean-Drapeau".
2007: 60 000 visitors

Theme-based celebration of the 40th anniversary of Expo 67.
